Peripheral Neuropathy

Quite frequently, podiatrists are faced with difficult patients without an obvious diagnosis. These are patients who may have seen several other specialists who were also stumped by the patient's disease. Often this type of patient involves laboratory testing which includes nerve conduction studies and electromyography. A case of such a patient will be reviewed here. An explanation of how to read and interpret the NCV/EMG report and an analysis of this patient's diagnosis is discussed.
